It looks to me like a first cycle bird. Richard Repp spotted it and described it to me on the phone. I was able to go out and see and hear it and get a bunch of photos. Once, as it was flying near shore a blackbird chased it out into the lake. After it had enough being chased, it turned on the blackbird, and called out a few times as it chased the blackbird back into the trees.
