Pine Grosbeaks were eating buds high in trees that look to me like willows. I kept looking at starlings that were doing good imitations of lots of birds, and psyching me out -- of Killdeer, warblers, Red-tailed Hawks, & many more birds. The light was so pretty on everything this afternoon that I didn't mind seeing the starlings each time I looked up, until I saw the Pine Grosbeaks. It was a gorgeous afternoon.
